Oracle

Oracle Database is a database management system from Oracle. This DBMS is also actively used by large companies and costs a lot of money, but in return it provides great functionality and reliability. Therefore, Oracle Database and Microsoft SQL Server are serious competitors to each other. The results of Oracle in the rankings are not so clear, for example, according to PYPL and DB-Engines, Oracle Database ranks first, according to Stack Overflow Oracle is in eighth position, according to surveys of Oracle software companies in fourth place in popularity. If we take into account only a couple of ratings, Oracle can even be put in first place, but if we take into account all the results, then Oracle cannot be put in first place, therefore, in our rating, this DBMS occupies the third line.

Mini server

 Mini server

A server is a part of a computer network for sharing resources. For a beginner, the main thing is to understand how and why the server will be used. After all, it is with this idea that the assembly, installation and configuration of the server begins. Server creation steps:

- choice of components

- selection and installation of the operating system

- network configuration

- setting up application programs

Mini server - the conventional name of the server based on a simple personal computer, it's easier to say it's a home server, and its role can be played by both a simple desktop computer and a nettop, laptop and even a netbook. The main goal of mini server is to show the maximum possibilities of mini systems, both in terms of equipment cost and performance. A do-it-yourself server is not inferior in quality to many hosting companies and even surpasses some companies in many ways.

Why do you need a server - first of all, the server is needed for organizing and teamwork on the network. As the basis for mini server, I have identified several types of servers:

- Game server

- Web server

- File server

- Access Server

To ensure the correct operation of the equipment, it is also necessary to include an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) in the server infrastructure. For small servers, a line-interactive (Smart) UPS is suitable. When choosing an uninterruptible power supply for a server, you should pay attention to the "flagship" models in the production of UPS for home or small servers - APC by Schneider Electric. It is from their APC Smart-UPS series that the common name of line-interactive (Smart) UPS has gone. In Russia, this line is as widely represented as in the whole world, and is constantly updated with new models of uninterruptible power supplies for servers and PCs.
